Heather Bogard Kegley graduated from the IU Kelley School of Business with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance. She went on to receive her license as a CPA.
She spent 10 years in private accounting before starting her own business. While in the private sector of accounting, Heather prepared and analyzed the financial statements for a manufacturing company with annual revenue of $450 million. She was in charge of the payables department and a key member of the 15 member accounting department. She was responsible for the training and mentoring of the staff and modifying department policies to make tasks as efficient as possible. She also dealt with budgets, contracts, business acquisitions, property taxes and cost accounting functions.
In 2012, Heather opened Bogard CPA, with the intent to offer affordable accounting and tax services to individuals and small businesses. Heather has taken her knowledge and experience from private accounting and is using it to help small businesses succeed.
She has a passion for both numbers and helping people – having her own accounting and tax business allows her to satisfy both.
Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and anything outdoors.
